*****************************************************************************
Angel and Buffy stood under the mistletoe, softly kissing. Buffy carried their two month old child in her arms, carefully balancing her in one arm as the other wrapped itself around Angel's neck.
When they parted, Buffy smiled at him as catcalls from Spike were heard from the couch. The two turned to glare at him, then took their seats beside the tree.
"Who wants to open first?" Buffy asked.
The question was directed to Cordelia, Oz, Xander, Doyle, Willow, Spike, Anya, and Amy, who were all either sitting on the floor, on the couch, or in the chairs.
"I will!" Cordelia immediately shouted.
Buffy shook her head in amusement and searched through the huge mass of presents under the tree. Finding a gift for their beloved Cordy, she read the name tag aloud. "To my Princess, aka Cordelia, from Doyle."
She threw the package to Cordy, who caught it with ease. She eagerly tore it open, finding a small box. Opening it, she gasped as she set her eyes upon a thin, golden ring with four small, almost microscopic diamonds embedded into it.
She grinned and threw her arms around him, who was sitting right next to her. "Thank you." She breathed.
Buffy fished under the tree again and picked up another, then read the tag. It was for Anya. She tossed it over at the ex-demon and watched as she carefully tore the tape off of each of the sides, unwrapping the present ever so slowly.
Xander, who was beside her, groaned in frustration. "Hurry up!" He shouted.
Anya sent him an annoyed look and after a long moment, she finished unwrapping. Only to find more wrapping paper underneath it.
Xander groaned as Anya once again carefully peeled away the tape and the paper. "Why did I even bother?" He moaned.
When Anya finally was through unwrapping the ten pieces of decorative paper, she turned her head to look at Xander. "What was the point of that?" She asked.
Xander let out a tiny scream of frustration. "Just open it!"
Anya shrugged and opened the box which she had unwrapped, then widened her eyes in surprise. "Xander. It's.. wonderful. Thank you."
She lifted out a silver chain with a silver pentagram on it. He smiled goofily at her. "Just something to remember your demon days by. I know how you liked them."
Buffy rolled her eyes and Angel grabbed a present and handed it to her before she could take one for someone else. Buffy smiled as she saw that it was from Angel, and leaned over and kissed him softly. There was a loud cough that came from the British vampire, and he rolled his eyes at them. "You're not under the mistletoe, or am I the only one that notices that."
Angel growled at him, and Buffy grabbed her present and tore away the paper, throwing it beside her. When she saw what was inside of it, she smiled as her eyes teared up in happiness.
It was a Claddagh ring, much like the one that they had exchanged those many years ago, but this one was completely gold and had tiny diamonds in the crown.
He took her hands in his and softly whispered into her ear. "Will you marry me?"
Her tears spilled over and she wrapped her arms around him, momentarily forgetting the baby which rested in Angel's arms. "Yes!" She cried.
She let go of him, and smiling happily, cried out to the others, "I'm getting married!"
Congratulations went all around as they finished their gifts.
Afterward, all the presents were stacked up in a corner and they all cuddled up with their respective boyfriends and girlfriends. As Buffy and Angel watched their daughter Chalistine sleeping in Buffy's arms, the two smiled at eachother before Buffy lay her head against Angel's chest and drifted off.
It was a good day.
